How We Can Help

Removal of Conditions

Certain individuals who obtain permanent residence through marriage are granted conditional lawful permanent resident status valid for two years. To maintain permanent resident status beyond that initial period, a petition to remove conditions must be filed within the prescribed timeframe prior to expiration.

The Removal of Conditions process requires careful documentation demonstrating the continued validity of the qualifying relationship or, where applicable, eligibility for a waiver of the joint filing requirement. Because conditional residence carries strict deadlines and evidentiary standards, disciplined preparation is essential.

Our Strategy

The petition to remove conditions involves a comprehensive review of supporting documentation, including evidence of shared life, financial integration, cohabitation, and good faith marriage. Each submission must be thoughtfully assembled to reflect consistency, credibility, and completeness.

In certain circumstances — such as divorce, hardship, or other qualifying factors — waivers may be available. These cases require careful evaluation and structured presentation to ensure alignment with regulatory standards.

We approach this stage with careful analysis and proactive oversight, helping clients navigate documentation requirements and procedural expectations with confidence. Moreover, we ensure that each matter is addressed in accordance with applicable legal standards while maintaining a structured, client-centered advisory framework.
